KNOCK PINS FOR ACCURATE FIT, BETTER PROTECTION.
Rather than relying on stay bolts only to secure the gear cover as in the conventional model, the K-75 gear cover is fixed into place by four knock pins. These provide accurate seating of the gear cover. Knock pins also provide a high degree of protection in case of undue shock or careless handling and prevent deformation or damage to the gear centers.
LOAD SHEAVE COVER.
The addition of a load sheave cover prevents foreign matter from entering the mechanism. At the same time it serves as a load chain guide.
PROTECTIVE ANCHOR PLATES.
In any mechanism of this type, lowering the load chain too far can snap the last link. Anchor plates on the K-75 prevent this human error.”
POWDER PAINTING BEFORE ASSEMBLY.
Powder painting, the system used for traffic signs, offers the most protective finish possible. While the conventional model was painted in an assembled state, the K-75 parts are painted before assembling, giving the advantage of rust protection on the inside surfaces as well as the outside.
The gear cover on the K-75 is 3.2 mm in thickness, more than double that of the conventional model. Seven reinforcing ribs add even greater rigidity and durability.
Improved materials and forging methods make possible a chain of reduced size with greater working strength.
